Everett Johnson established J H Motors over 78 years ago, in 1946. Shortly after starting the business, his two sons, Will and Robert Johnson, joined him to aid in the growth and expansion of J H Motors. The ever innovative Will Johnson designed and manufactured an original rotator—the first of its kind. It was put into service in 1981 and is still operable to this day.
After years of supporting the business from the sideline, Kris (Will’s daughter) joined in 1988. In 2019, her son, Cody, joined to carry on the family’s legacy. As our family tree continues to pour ourselves into J H Motors, in turn, we pour back into our community in Billings, MT and beyond.
In 2022, we welcomed Dillon Thompson as a heavy tow truck operator. We added Jake Smith to part of the family operating light duty as of 2023

Ever since our inception, we have been committed to the growth and expansion of the business to better help and protect drivers on the road.
